"The Armor Of God!"
Key Passage: Ephesians 6:10-17

Dear brother/sister-in-Christ, you and I are soldiers in the Army of God. This started at the moment, that we
received Jesus Christ as our personal Savior and Lord of our life. In God's Army, we fight against the wiles of the
Devil, which are as follows:

1. Principalities
2. Powers
3. Rulers of the darkness of this world
4. Spiritual wickedness in high places

This "Spiritual War" between God's Army and Satan's Army can be read in the prophetic books of the Bible
(Such as Daniel, Ezekiel and Revelations).

Now, lets look at the key passage on this subject in Ephesians 6:10-17, "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the
Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the
wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against
the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the
whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand
therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet
shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able
to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is
the word of God:"

Lets look at the following of each piece of "Armor", that is given to us as Christians in God's Army:
(1 .) Loins girt about with "Truth" (Ephesians 6:14)
Everything in life begins and ends with the "Truth." In John 14:6, Jesus said "I am the Truth." The "Truth" is
always a trusted and cherished treasure, but a "Lie" is worthless, just like garbage. Remember, a person's "gut"
feeling normally reveals the "truth." (References: Rom. 3:4; Titus 1 :2; Hebrews 6:18)

(2.) Breastplate of "Righteousness" (v.14)
God's Salvation makes us "Righteous", when we receive his gift of eternal life. This comes by our belief/trust in
Jesus Christ from the "Heart." This breastplate Is like a "bulletproof' vest, that police wear today, for protection
of their vital organs. At salvation, our dead/sinful spirit is born-again and is made eternally "Righteous"(Without
Sin) before God. (References: Romans 5:18, 19)

(3.) Feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of "Peace"(v.15)
The gospel of "Peace" is the message of God's Salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ. Your feet represent the
paths, that you take in life(Choices/Decisions). These paths will determine how successful or how unsuccessful
you will be in God's Army. There's an old saying that says, "If you run with the dogs, you'll get the ticks and
flees!" (References: Isaiah 9:6; Romans 1:16; Romans 10:15; Ephesians 1:13)

(4.) Shield of "Faith"(v.16)
This shield protects us from the "fiery darts" of the wicked. Without "Faith" it is impossible to please God.
Remember, "Faith" is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen. (References:
Galatians 2:8,9; Hebrews 11 :1)

(5.) Helmet of "Salvation"(v.17)
The helmet is for the protection of the "mind." As a Christian, we are to have the "mind" of Christ Jesus. Its been
said, ''What you "think", is what you are!" God's Salvation is a "Solid Anchor" for our lives! (References: Romans
6:23; Phil. 2:5; Phil. 4:8)

(6.) Sword of the "Spirit"(v.17) . .
This is represented by the "Word of God." This piece of armor is the "only" offensive part of it. Th1s "Sword' is

used to destroy all of Satan's attacks on your spiritual life. (References: John 17:17, Col. 3:16; Heb. 4:12)

In conclusion, when you get up in the mornings, put on God's Armor, to help you to fight your battles, instead

of going all day in your pajamas. If you go through life, wearing your pajamas, you will be an ineffective soldier in

God's Army. The End!!!
